In yet another shocking incident, the Donald Trump administration recently asked Indian-American Surgeon General Vivek Murthy to quit his post as the US government wants to appoint its own leadership in place. Murthy was asked to resign from his duties as Surgeon General after assisting in a smooth transition into the new Trump administration, PTI quoted US Department of Health and Human Services statement. The statement also mentioned that Murthy has been relieved of his duties as Surgeon General and will continue to serve as a member of the Commissioned Corps.

– Born on July 10, 1977, Murthy is an Indian-American physician who was appointed during Barack Obama’s regime. He was a vice admiral in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, and served as the 19th Surgeon General of the United States.
