US shooting: In yet another horrific shooting incident in Mississippi, as many as 8 people have been reported dead, including a Deputy Sheriff. The shooting happened in three separate homes in Mississippi and authorities are saying, the suspect is in custody - the incident happend on Saturday night in rural Lincoln County. The place is some 68 miles from Jackson, which is the state capital. The motive is not yet clear. According to Associated Press, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation spokesman Warren Strain said the shootings occurred at three separate homes. Two of the homes are in Brookhaven and one is in Bogue Chitto. The area is about 68 miles (109 kilometers) south of Jackson, the capital. Strain Added investigators were gathering evidence at all three locations. He also said that charges have not yet been filed against the suspect and it is too early to discuss a motive. In his first reaction Governor of the state Phil Bryant, in a statement, said the public should pray for the victims and also noted the 'sacrifice' made the deputy sheriff - 'Too often, we lose one of our finest. I thank the law enforcement agencies involved for their hard work' he had added in the statement. News agency AP, published an interview that the shooter's had with a newspaper - The Clarion-Ledger. Here is what AP reported him as saying, "I ain't fit to live, not after what I done. I was having a conversation with her step-daddy and her mama and her, my wife, about me taking my children home. Somebody called the officer, people that didn't even live at the house. That's what they do. They intervene. They cost him his life." The suspect is reported to have added "My intentions was to have God kill me. I ran out of bullets."
