US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson would travel to Beijing later this week, ahead of President Donald Trump’s China visit in November. During the top US diplomat’s visit to Beijing from September 28 to October 1, he would discuss a range of issues with senior Chinese officials including the denuclearization of Korean Peninsula, State Department Spokesperson Heather Nauert said.
He would also be discussing trade and investment with the Chinese leadership, and Trump’s November visit. “Tillerson’s visit to China reaffirms the Administration’s commitment to further broaden and enhance US economic and security interests in the Asia-Pacific region,” Nauert said.
