Police response in early hours
Officers responded to a distress call at around 2.30 am local time on Friday at a home located in the 1000 block of Brook Ivy Court. When they reached the spot, they found the bodies of four adults inside the house, all of whom had died from gunshot wounds, according to a report by Gwinnett Daily Post.
Police officials said three children were present when the shooting began. To stay safe, the children hid inside a closet.
Investigators said one of the children managed to call 911 and shared crucial details, which helped officers reach the scene within minutes. The children were not hurt and were later taken into the care of a family member.
