Newly released documents from Jeffrey Epstein‘s files have unearthed a new link to LinkedIn co-founder and venture capitalist Reid Hoffman, according to the New York Post.

The material is part of the broader disclosure by the US Department of Justice, which is continuing its review of millions of Epstein-related records.

What do the newly released documents claim?

According to the New York Post, the documents include emails and apparent scheduling memos referencing Hoffman’s visits or planned stays at several properties owned by Epstein, including his Manhattan townhouse, a ranch in New Mexico, and the private Caribbean island of Little St. James.

The newly surfaced emails did not allege any criminal conduct by Hoffman. However, they have placed his name among several high-profile individuals referenced in Epstein’s correspondence, travel arrangements, and internal communications.

One email cited in the report also stated that “Reid will spend the night at 71st,” referring to Epstein’s Upper East Side residence in New York City.

Another scheduling memo from 2014 listed dinners and social engagements and noted that Hoffman and Japanese venture capitalist Joi Ito would visit Epstein’s ranch for a weekend, though no specific dates were included.

The files also contained detailed travel information, including flight arrangements showing Hoffman was expected to travel from San Francisco to Florida ahead of a visit to Epstein’s island, according to New York Post.

Hoffman’s misplaced passport

Among the newly released documents were informal email exchanges between Epstein and his assistant, Saida Sapieva, referencing Hoffman’s misplaced passport.

In one message, Epstein reportedly wrote that he had found Hoffman’s passport inside a gift bag.

In a follow-up email sent directly to Hoffman, Epstein wrote, “Larry and me and your passport,” to which Hoffman responded, “Excellent!”

Hoffman’s past regret

While Hoffman has not reacted to the new findings, he had in the past expressed deep regret over his limited association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, admitting it was a mistake to participate in activities that helped repair Epstein’s reputation.

Following renewed scrutiny and a 2025 investigation order from President Trump, Hoffman has vehemently denied being a client of Epstein and had demanded the full release of all Epstein-related documents, according to ABC News.
