The Republican nominee Donald Trump has been declared today as 45th President of America after a neck-to-neck competition with the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Soon after the declaration, the 70-year-old, addressed his supporters and thanked them for trusting him to be the head of the world’s largest economy. In his brief speech, Trump asked the people to come together and work to build American economy as strong as it had never been before.
Starting his speech as the next occupant of the White House, Trump said that he met numerous people in the journey of his 18-months-long “very very hard-fought” campaign and has learnt a lot from everyone. “Ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement made up of hard working men and women,” said Trump. He further said that soon after his victory, Clinton called her and congratulated him. “Just received a call from Hillary Clinton and she congratulated us all, I also congratulated her for her hardwork.”

Emphasising on the theme of his campaign ‘Make America Great Again’, he asked each supporter of the Democratic party, the Republican party and independent nominees to unite and work together for the betterment of their nation. He called himself “President of all Americans” and urged that by working together the nation will fulfil its desired dreams”. ” we have tremendous potential and we will achieve everything,” he added.
Speaking further, Trump called the election result a beginning to add another chapter in the history of America. “People call it a historic event, but we still have to prove it by doing a historic job,” said Trump. He also said that being in the government, they have great plans for a bright future of the nation. “We have a great plan, we will double our economy and will strengthen our relations with every country who is willing to be our friend,” said he.
Calling it the night, he thanked his family, especially his sister as he has “learnt a lot” from her. The newly elected President thanked the people to gather in such a large number and said that he loves his country.
Finishing the speech, he went amid his supporters and meet them. The enthusiastic public greeted him and took selfies with their new President.
