A woman in the US city of Nashville shot at a homeless man last month who had asked her to move her Porsche SUV as the loud music coming from it was disturbing his sleep. As per Associated Press, the police has charged the woman Katie Quackenbush with attempt to murder. The police said that the man Gerald Melton was upset by the exhaust fumes and loud music that was coming from the Porsche SUV while trying to sleep at midnight, the agency said. After he asked her to move the vehicle, the two apparently started yelling at each other. The police further said that after Melton went back to where he was trying to sleep, Quackenbush came out of her car with a gun while the argument continued to grow. During their heated argument, Quackenbush shot at Milton twice while moving away with her vehicle with another woman. Disputing the police account, 'Katie's father Jesse Quackenbush said that his daughter had fired the shot in self-defence and did not know Milton was hit. He further said that Katie, a single mother of a 5-year-old boy, had driven a friend back to her car when both of them allegedly saw Melton harassing other women in the street, he added as per tennessean.com. When he was asked whether his daughter heard the scream of the man after being shot, the man said there was no such indication. In the meantime, Melton continues to remain in hospital with critical injuries, the Associated Press report added.
