Nawaz Sharif resigned as the Pakistan Prime Minister on Friday afternoon after the Pakistan Supreme Court disqualified him from holding public office and ruled that graft cases be filed against the beleaguered leader and his children over the Panama Papers scandal. With this announcement, the 67-year-old Pak leader failed to finish his term as the Pak PM for the third time. The unanimous verdict was given by the five-judge bench and was read out by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan inside the packed courtroom 1 of the Supreme Court. The court disqualified Sharif under Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution. However, Nawaz Sharif is not the only one who was found guilty in the case. Along with him, the Court also ordered cases in accountability court against daughter Maryam, sons Hasan and Husain, son in law Captain Safdar and former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Here is all you need to know about them:

Nawaz’s resignation has also left a possibility for the Army to take charge of the country again.
