Kamala Harris nominee for US Presidential elections and Vice President thanked 81-year-old Joe Biden. During the Democratic National Convention on Monday Night, Chicago, she thanked Biden for his lifetime services to the nation and expressed her gratitude.
Kamal Harris made a surprise appearance on a Monday night during the prime-time program to thank Joe Biden. She said “Joe, thank you for your historic leadership, for your lifetime of service to our nation, and for all you’ll continue to do,” she said. “We are forever grateful to you.”
Joe Biden has experience of 52 years which rose him to the pinnacle of his party. He was getting pressure from his party to drop his bid for reelection and received a warm welcome for the act of stepping aside.
Biden got praise and cheer from Democrats as he endorsed Kamala Harris as the nominee for presidential polls. In his Valedictory speech on Monday night, Joe Biden mentioned ending his reelection which energized the Democrats and made Kamala Harris the top contender.
At the end of the Democratic convention on August 22, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will be nominated as the Democratic candidates for US president and Vice President respectively.
Kamala Harris recently faced a setback as the three recent polls two in the state of Pennsylvania and a national poll showed Kamala Harris behind Donald Trump, where Trump holds a narrow lead and Harris is trailing the former president.
However, the new polls from the New York Times and Siena College show Kamala Harris leading from the states like Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, and North Carolina. It shows a significant improvement for Democrats compared with May, when Trump was leading against Biden.
