The Yazidi women are living under a constant fear, the fear of getting trapped anytime, the fear of being taken away to a land where nobody would be able to hear them out and the fear of becoming sex slaves. The reign of terror is unimaginable and the women in in Yazidi homeland live under it everyday and every night.

This has happened with many when their homes were destroyed and their families killed. But a ray of hope has risen in the name of Nadia Murad. The Yazidi girl who was captured from her village in Mosul by the ISIS and taken in as a sex slave. This happened back in 2014. Murad has seen her brothers and father being shot down in front of her eyes and if that trauma wasn’t enough, she was tortured in the captivity of ISIS.

But the brave girl managed to escape from the grits of the terrorists and has now found relief in the UN camp. Nadia has been appointed as the UN Goodwill Ambassador. Prominent refugee lawyer Amal Clooney is helping her spread the message, to bring back the others, to save the rest.

Nadia, 21 years old, now aims to bring the World’s notice to the importance of the issue and the harrowing experience women captives are facing. She wants to tell how ISIS is not only responsible for taking but even destroying lives. While Nadia and her two sisters have now escaped the ordeal, there are some 3000 more living the haunted way.
