The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has re-released a number of photographs of the Pentagon attack on their official website. On September 11, 2001, American Airlines Flight 77 crashed into the headquaters of the United States Department of Defense, Pentagon located in the Arlington County of Virginia. This attack led to the partial collapse of the western side of the Pentagon and 125 people lost their lives in the attack. The pictures were made public for the first time, nearly six years after the unfortunate incident and now 16 years after the 9/11 attacks, FBI has re-released those pictures.
Jillian Stickels, the spokeswoman of FBI in an interview with the Associated Press on March 31 said, that the 27 photos that have been released were posted online in 2011 but soon after they disappeared from the website due to some technical problems. The pictures were restored as soon as the FBI was alerted about the disappearance of the pictures, according to an Indian Express report.
