A video footage leaked on Sunday showing employees at a ‘Rural Commercial Bank’ getting spanked by their manager during a training session has sparked outrage against the organisation.
The video was leaked on the Facebook page of China’s People’s Daily, the official media organisation of the Chinese Communist Party.
According to a People’s Daily Facebook post, eight Rural Commercial Bank employees were on stage during a company event, and were punished by their bank manager for not “exceeding themselves.”
There were eight employees who were seen to be getting reprimanded by their manager and made to say as to why they were underperforming. The unnamed Manager then goes behind them and hits them hard on their bottom.The manager the continued yelling at them followed by another round of spanking.

The bank in North China’s Changzhi province has been criticized by Netizens for its harsh treatment towards its staff and have demanded that the manager be fired.
An oversight body on Monday described in an online statement that the training as ‘improper’, and said that the bank’s chairman and a deputy governor has been suspended and had told the Manager to make a public apology.
