An AI-generated video showing US President Donald Trump kissing Elon Musk’s feet, played over and over again at the HUD building (Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development) on Monday. The video, was titled ‘Long live the real king’ and appeared to be making fun of Trump and Musk’s friendly relationship. It’s unclear as to who made the video, but needless to say, it quickly went viral on social media. The title of the video appeared to reference a recent post by Trump on his Truth Social account, where he said, ‘Long Live the King!’

HUD spokesperson Kasey Lovett told The Hill that this is a waste of taxpayer’s money and resources, and that appropriate action will be taken against those responsible for making and displaying the video.

The video played repeatedly on monitors at HUD, and social media quickly erupted with memes and reactions. Many debated whether it was a hack or a planned stunt. It’s still not clear if hackers or someone else were behind it. Meanwhile, the internet was filled with images and videos of the incident.

A user took to X and wrote, “Anyone else notice that the “Musk” in this AI video has two left feet?” Many expressed shock towards the whole incident. Another user wrote, “WOW! This actually just happened! The monitors were hacked at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to display an AI video of Trump licking Elon Musk’s toes. The caption over it read, LONG LIVE THE REAL KING.”

Trump and Musk’s friendship and support for each other has become a topic of discussion for the media. Musk was behind the heavy cuts to the federal workforce, which led to thousands of government workers losing their jobs. Musk is leading the Department of Government Efficiency, which advises the administration on budget cuts and staff reductions.

Musk recently faced criticism when he suggested that government workers should submit a weekly report of five things they accomplished, and that they should be considered fired if they didn’t reply.
