Xiaomi has launched four new smart AIoT ecosystem products in India at its smarter living 2024 event. The list includes — Redmi Pad SE and Redmi Buds 5A, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10 and Xiaomi handheld garment steamer.
The entry-level Pad SE is being pitched as your “daily companion” for entertainment as well as for education and learning. It has a body made out of metal.
The Pad SE has an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a 1920 x 1200p resolution and a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. Under the hood, the Redmi Pad SE has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC5.1 storage. This is expandable by up to 1TB through micro-SD. Running the show is Xiaomi’s MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13. Powering the tablet is an 8,000mAh battery, though charging tops out at 10W.
The Redmi Pad SE supports Bluetooth 5.0 and dual band Wi-Fi. It has an 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. You get a 3.5mm audio jack and Hi-Res audio support, as well as quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos natively.
The Buds 5A are entry-level wireless earphones with active noise cancellation (up to 25dB) including AI-powered ANC for voice calls.
The earbuds are IPX4 rated and support Google Fast Pair as well as a low latency mode (over Bluetooth 5.4). They pair with Xiaomi’s earbuds app and support touch-based control.
The Xiaomi garment steamer has a compact and portable design and is being billed as a “perfect travel companion.” The steamer has a power of 1300W and a 24g per minute stream rate. It has 160ml of water storage and supports both horizontal and vertical steaming.

Xiaomi claims its steaming removes 99 percent of bacteria and allergens leaving behind a gentle fragrance in your clothes.
The S10, a smart home robot vacuum cleaner, boasts of LDS-based laser tracking and 4,000pa suction for a “professional and accurate” room cleaning.

The vacuum cleaner supports zigzag and Y-shaped mapping and can keep multiple maps in memory, Xiaomi says. It has a two-in-one container setup for dust and water (with up to three settings for cleaning).
Alongside the Redmi Pad SE, Redmi Buds 5A, Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner S10, and Xiaomi handheld garment steamer, Xiaomi also finally announced the launch date of the limited “World champions” or AFA (short for Argentina Football Association) edition of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.
