Following the July 3 tariff hike, the Rs 999 plan price was bumped to Rs 1,199.

This extension provides users with 14 additional days of service.

However, this increase in validity comes at a cost: the total data allocation has been reduced.

The plan now offers 2GB of data per day, totaling 192GB over the entire validity period.

Previously, Jio would give 3GB per day data, which amounted to 252GB, with the Rs 999 plan.

Despite this reduction in daily data, the Rs 999 plan includes the perk of unlimited 5G data.

Additionally, the plan maintains its offer of 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calling.

In contrast, rival telecom operator Airtel offers a competing Rs 979 plan.

This plan has a validity of 84 days and includes 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day.
