Apple has slashed iPhone prices in response to the Indian government’s recent reduction of import duties on smartphones from 20% to 15%.
This is the first time Apple has lowered prices on current-generation iPhone models in India.
The price cuts for Apple’s iPhones vary across different models. The made-in-India iPhone 15 has seen a modest reduction of Rs 300.
The iPhone 15 now starts at Rs 79,600.
However, third-party e-commerce websites are offering even lower prices.
Currently, Flipkart is the most affordable option, selling the iPhone 15 for as low as Rs 65,499, a significant Rs 14,101 discount.
On Vijay Sales, the iPhone 15 is currently selling for Rs 9,910 less, i.e., Rs 69,690.
On JioMart and Amazon, iPhone 14 is selling for Rs 70,500 and Rs 70,900, respectively.
Croma meanwhile sells it for Rs 71,290, a Rs 8,310 discount.
On Reliance Digital, the iPhone 15 is available for Rs 72,600.
Apple’s price reductions, combined with additional e-commerce discounts, make this an ideal time to purchase a new iPhone in India.
