What is ODOP and how MSMEs can apply for it and what are the benefits

The scheme was launched in January 2018 by CM Yogi Adityanath in Uttar PradeshDue to its success, it was adopted by the Central government

The One District One Product scheme aims to turn every district in India, into an export hub through the promotion of the product in which the district specialises

Under the ODOP initiative, all products are selected by States/UTs by taking into consideration the products identified under Districts as Export Hubs (DEH), and GI-tagged products

To register for ODOP, businesses must register through odopup.in

At the time of registration, you need to select ‘One District One Product’, and then register using your basic contact details. Your credentials will be generated

Log in to the portal using the credentials, and fill in your personal details, details of your business and your bank account. Fill in the additional details and complete your registration

Existing micro-enterprises producing ODOP products are supported through capital investment. Enterprises producing ODOP products are given preference

A credit-linked grant of 35% is provided to support groups such as self-help groups (SHGs), Producer Co-operatives, etc. in their operations such as sorting, grading, storage, packaging, processing and so on

Training is provided with a focus on entrepreneurship development, operations, marketing, accounting, FSSAI standards, GST registration, Udyog Aadhaar, Geographical Indication (GI) registration and so on
