What is govt's National SC-ST Hub scheme and how it benefit SMEs?

The MSME Ministry’s National SC-ST Hub scheme supports scheduled caste and scheduled tribe entrepreneurs to fulfil the mandate of 4 per cent public procurement from central public sector enterprises (CPSEs)

The scheme has supported over 1.13 lakh SC-ST candidates over the past seven years

The objective of this scheme is to provide equal opportunities for entrepreneurship to the youth coming from SC-ST category

Under this scheme, the entrepreneurs are provided a provision of a 25% subsidy to the SC-ST MSEs for procurement of Plant and machinery/Equipment through institutional credit up to Rs. 25 Lacs on the subsidy, without any sector-specific restrictions

Reimbursements of 80% or Rs. 1,00,000/-, whichever is less, on Performance Bank guarantee charges

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs 1,00,000/-, whichever is lower, charged as Testing fee, for availing testing services from NABL accredited laboratories & license or certification fee from BIS

Reimbursement of 80% or Rs 20,000/-, whichever is less, in a financial year to SC/ST MSEs on membership fees charged by Export Promotion Councils

Reimbursement of course fees up to 90% or Rs 1,00,000, whichever is less for SCST entrepreneurs and their wards,  for attending short-term (1-30 days duration) training programs from 50 management institutes

The financial assistance of 80% or a maximum of Rs. 25,000/- whichever is less, per financial year for Membership fees of Government promoted e-commerce portals
