The Govt is likely to hike DA by 3 percent. After the hike, the new DA/DR rate will be 45%

Following an official announcement, the new rate of DA will be effective from 1 July 2023.

According to All India Railwaymen Federation General Secretary Shiva Gopal Mishra,  DA hike works out to be a little over 3% as per latest AICPI-IW data.

However, the government does not factor in hiking DA beyond the decimal point. Thus DA is likely to be increased by 3%.

The DA/DR for employees and pensioners is worked out on the basis of the latest AICPI-IW data released by Labour Bureau every month.

The Expenditure Department of Finance Ministry will formulate a proposal to hike DA along with its revenue implications and put up the proposal before the Union Cabinet for approval.
