Princess Mrinalika Bhanj Deo is a contemporary figure embodying the blend of royal heritage and modern entrepreneurship.

Residing in the luxurious Belgadia Palace in Odisha, she is the daughter of HH Maharaja Praveen Chandra Bhanj Deo, the 47th ruler of the Bhanja dynasty, and HH Maharani Rashmi Rajya Laxmi of Mayurbhanj, who hails from the Jaisalmer royal lineage.

Alongside her sister Akshita, Princess Mrinalika plays a crucial role in preserving and promoting her family’s rich legacy while steering towards innovative and philanthropic ventures.

Mrinalika Bhanj Deo’s upbringing was steeped in the grandeur and traditions of the Bhanja dynasty. Her educational background has equipped her with a profound understanding of social dynamics and business acumen, which she utilizes in her current roles.

According to the official Belgadia Palace website, Mrinalika has been instrumental in opening up the palace to the public as a heritage homestay, providing guests with an immersive experience of royal living while promoting sustainable tourism.

Together with her sister Akshita, Mrinalika oversees the philanthropic arm of their family’s ventures, The Mayurbhanj Foundation.
