PM Modi inaugurated India's longest sea bridge Atal Setu on Jan 12

PM called it a symbol of infrastructural prowess and reflection of `Viksit' Bharat

The bridge is known as Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri-Nhava Sheva Atal Setu

It is a 6-lane trans-harbour sea link connecting Mumbai with its satellite city Navi Mumbai

It is a 21.8-km-long engineering marvel, of which 16.5km is in the sea.

The bridge has been built at a cost of Rs 17,840 crore

It will cut distance between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai from some hours to just 15-20 minutes

It will provide faster connectivity to Mumbai Int’l Airport and Navi Mumbai Int’l Airport

It will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India
