It anticipates facilitating the departure of 33,000 pilgrims from Mumbai to Saudi Arabia
CSMIA said it will handle over 65,000 passengers during the period of May to July
It said it is fully prepared to manage the increased passenger traffic with a phased and coordinated approach
“2024 could mark a 157% Y-o-Y increase in the number of Haj pilgrims travelling through CSMIA,” the airport said
For 2024, the departure flights commenced on May 25th and will continue till June 12th
The arrival of returning pilgrims is tentatively scheduled to begin in July 2024, CSMIA said
CSMIA maintains a robust schedule to Saudi Arabia, with airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, Vistara, and Saudia Airlines collectively operating 11 flights daily
During the peak Haj period, Saudia Airlines is responsible for managing the official Haj movement from CSMIA
