Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is going to play a vital role in this year’s Haj pilgrimage

It anticipates facilitating the departure of 33,000 pilgrims from Mumbai to Saudi Arabia

CSMIA said it will handle over 65,000 passengers during the period of May to July

It said it is fully prepared to manage the increased passenger traffic with a phased and coordinated approach

“2024 could mark a 157% Y-o-Y increase in the number of Haj pilgrims travelling through CSMIA,” the airport said

For 2024, the departure flights commenced on May 25th and will continue till June 12th

The arrival of returning pilgrims is tentatively scheduled to begin in July 2024, CSMIA said
