In a bid to enhance connectivity in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a crucial meeting recently and directed the officials to formulate a plan for the expansion of Lucknow Metro

UP CM emphasised the expansion of the Lucknow Metro to better serve the needs of the state capital

UP CM instructed officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for a new metro route connecting Charbagh to Vasant Kunj via Chowk in Lucknow

CM Yogi also urged the expedited conduct of suitability tests for both underground and elevated metro services

The Chief Minister also highlighted the importance of an extension of the existing Lucknow Metro to connect IIM on one end and SGPGI on the other

Yogi urged the officials to explore Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models for expansion

CM Adityanath also stressed the need to boost commercial activities within the Metro Rail complex

The Lucknow metro covers a distance of 22.87 km with 22 stations, of which 19 are elevated and 3 underground
