Indian Railways to launch 3,000 new trains within the next four to five years

This will elevate current passenger capacity of railways from 800 cr to 1,000 cr

Railway Minister made the announcement on Thursday

There are currently 69,000 new coaches available

In the coming years, 200 to 250 new trains will be introduced each year

Along with inclusion of 400 to 450 Vande Bharat trains

Vande Bharat exhibits an acceleration and deceleration rate 4x better than other trains

IR is also taking initiative to enhance train speed and expand the rail network
