Tata Motors has finally launched the highly anticipated Punch EV today.
Available in five variants namely- Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+, prices for Punch EV start from Rs 10.99 lakh and go up to Rs 14.49 lakh (both ex-showroom).
The Punch EV gets redesigned front fascia a thin LED strip running across the width of the bonnet and revised front bumper housing new vertically stacked twin-pod LED headlamps and fog lamps.

It can be had in five dual-tone colour schemes including Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Fearless Red, Daytona Grey, and Pristine White, all available with a black roof and pillars.
Another unique touch is the Tata logo at the centre serving as the charging port inlet. Also, there is nice storage space under the bonnet, useful to store the charging cables and adapters.
The layout of the cabin wears a different look in comparison to its fossil-fueled sibling with a new dual-tone theme for the interiors. The relaid dashboard boasts of a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment and Tata's new 2-spoke steering wheel.
Other feature highlights include fully-digital 10.25-inch instrumentation, touch-sensitive HVAC controls, 360-degree surround view camera, voice operated electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, etc.
Tata Motors offers two battery options with different motor specs in Punch EV- a 25kWh pack in the standard version and a 35kWh unit in the Long Range (LR) version- offering respective ARAI-rated range of 315 km and 421 km on a full charge
The former gets a 60kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor that produces 114 Nm of peak torque. The Long Range derivative of Punch EV comes with a 90kW PMS AC motor that dishes out 190 Nm of peak torque.
As for performance, the LR variant of all-electric Punch can do a 0-100 kmph sprint in 9.5 seconds and can clock a top speed of 140 kmph. The LR variant also gets three drive modes– Eco, City & Sport. Each drive mode has 4 levels of regeneration levels.
