After getting first glimpse at the last edition of Motoverse (formerly called Rider Mania), Royal Enfield has officially unveiled the Shotgun 650.
Unlike the Motoverse Edition, the production-sec Shotgun 650 gets more regular paint schemes such as Stencil White, Plasma Blue, Green Drill and Sheetmetal Grey.
Shotgun 650 gets signature Royal Enfield elements such as a round headlamp, circular turn indicators, a teardrop shaped fuel tank, minimal side panels, and thick front forks.
Other visual highlights include a gloss black engine cover, twin peashooter exhaust mufflers, spoked alloy wheels, shortened front and rear fenders, and a wide, flat handlebar.
It gets the same equipment as the Super Meteor 650 with contents like a semi-digital instrument console, Tripper Navigation with Bluetooth connectivity, all-LED illumination, and a USB charging port.
It also benefits from the new Royal Enfield Wingman app that provides information regarding live location, fuel and engine oil levels, service reminders and more.
Powering the Shotgun is the same 649cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine which is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch.
This motor pumps out an identical 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque
Based on the 650-Twin platform, the frame sits on 43mm Showa big piston front upside down forks, and twin tube 5-step preload adjust RSU at the rear.
It rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch front alloy wheels while braking duties are carried out by 320mm front and 300mm rear disc brakes aided by dual-channel ABS.
