Rolls Royce stepped into the luxury electric vehicle (EV) market in India by launching its current global flagship– Spectre which is priced at a whopping Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom).
Making its global debut in October 2022, Spectre has undergone rigorous testing, covering an impressive 2.5 million kilometres.
The two-door all-electric coupe is considered as a spiritual successor to the Phantom Coupe.
Deliveries of the luxury battery-powered sedan in India already began in the last quarter of 2023. It is available in a single fully-loaded variant.
Like all Roll Royce models, Spectre carries over signature visual elements like the trademark Pantheon front grille, which is now illuminated, dipped in chrome. the grille is flanked by split LED headlamps.
The Spirit of Ecstasy on the bonnet has been carried over.
Rolls-Royce has smartly left the vertical tail lamps colourless.
Riding on massive 23-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels ensures the Spectre has no shortage of road presence. The side profile is adorned with two distinct lines– one on the shoulder and one on the door sills called the ‘waft line’ which is inspired by yachts.
The cabin is loaded with tech including a large touchscreen infotainment with wireless mobile connectivity, and fully-digital instrument cluster that run on the brand’s latest software platform called– ‘SPIRIT’.
Interiors of Spectre scream opulence embellished with bespoke materials. The dual-tone cabin now gets the starlight liner on the door trims which were earlier limited to the roof.
Powering the Spectre is a twin-motor setup which sources its energy from a 102kWh battery pack that claims to offer a range of 530 km on a single charge.
