Toyota has expanded its Hilux range with the introduction of a Hybrid variant.
The new Hilux hybrid is available as a double cab pickup variant and gets a 48V hybrid system.
The new Hilux hybrid gets a three-dimensional grille, and bumper, while retaining its rugged stance.
The Hilux measures 5,325mm long, 1,900mm wide and 1,815mm in height, while it has a payload capacity of 1,000kg and a towing capacity of 3,500kg.
The pickup continues to have a body-on-frame architecture and has a ground clearance of 310mm.
Now coming to the engine, the Hilux gets a 2.8-litre diesel engine that makes 201bhp and 500Nm of torque.
Power is sent to all four-wheels, and for the first time, the Hilux gets a multi-terrain select system.
Inside, the pickup gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and smartphone connectivity.
On the safety front, the Hilux gets Toyota Safety Sense technology with Pre-Collision System, Lande Departure Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, and more.
Toyota also offers connected car tech where users can lock/unlock, turn on the AC, and more with their smartphone.
The new Hilux will arrive at dealerships in the UK and Europe in mid-2024.
