Hyundai has unveiled its latest sub-compact EV offering, the Inster.

The Hyundai Inster is based on the Casper, and is an all-electric offering.

The Inster was showcased at the recently-concluded Busan Mobility Show in Korea.

By the looks of it, it can be an interesting EV alternate in the segment if launched in India.

In terms of features, the Inster has a modern cockpit and features ADAS Level 2.

The Hyundai Inster is available with two battery pack options: 42kWh and 49kWh, which have a range of 300 and 355km respectively.

If brought to India, it will compete against the Tata Punch EV, the smallest electric SUV offering from Tata.

While the Punch EV does not get ADAS, it features a digital cockpit and is rated 5-stars for safety by Bharat NCAP.

The Tata Punch EV carries a price tag of Rs 10.99 lakh onwards, ex-showroom.

Similar to the Hyundai Inster, the Punch EV is available in two versions: 25kWh and 35kWh choices. They deliver a range of 315km and 421km respectively.

Here is a detailed comparison of the Inster and Punch EV.
