McLaren has taken the wraps off the new GTS, which will replace the GT in the carmaker's lineup.

The carmaker says that the GTS is designed to offer superior performance while occupants will have top-notch comfort.

Built around a carbon fibre chassis, the front features a tweaked bumper design with larger air intakes to cool the radiator.

At the rear, the GTS features twin exhaust tips and taller air scoops.

At 1520 kg, McLaren says that the GTS is the lightest car in the segment.

Powering the new McLaren GTS is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 626bhp and 630Nm of torque.

The carmaker says that the new GTS can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 3.2 seconds while it can reach a top speed of 326kmph.

All that power is kept in check by carbon ceramic brakes and adaptive suspension.

The interior is finished in leather while getting a 10.25-inch instrument display and a 7-inch infotainment system.

The new GTS gets 420-litres of luggage space behind the driver's seat, while the nose of the car gets an additional 150-litres of storage.

As with any McLaren, there are a host of customisation options on offer, from wheels to interior and trims.
