Maruti recently released a video of its subcompact SUVs- Fronx and Brezza being internally crash tested
The company is often ridiculed on social media platforms for its cars which generally have sub-par built quality and safety
Barring a few models like Brezza, other Maruti models have fared poorly in Global NCAP safety crash tests.
To address the same, Maruti released the video of Fronx and Brezza undergoing rigorous crash tests at its facility.
The video underscores the brand’s commitment to safety, highlighting the extensive measures taken to safeguard occupants.
Maruti focusses on creating a cocoon within the vehicle’s passenger compartment, integrating a crushable zone or crumple zone, to absorb impact and maximise passenger safety during collisions.
Maruti Suzuki cars are said to undergo more than 50 tests before they reach showrooms.
Fronx currently comes equipped with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill-hold assist, etc. as standard.
In higher variants, it receives a 360-degree camera, side and curtain airbags, reverse parking camera, and an auto-dimming IRVM in select variants.
Maruti has pledged to send at least three cars for the Bharat NCAP crash tests and the Fronx and Brezza could be among them.
