2016

Maini started his single-seater racing career in 2016, racing for BVM Racing in the Italian F4 Championship.

Family

His brother, Arjun Maini, also a racing driver and he is the nephew of Chetan Maini, the man who built India's first EV.

In 2018 the Indian moved up to the British Formula 3 Championship.

2019

The following year, he switched to the Formula Renault Eurocup, and was the season's second highest placed rookie.

2022

Maini, in 2022, progressed to the FIA Formula 3 Championships.

2022, F2

2024 was Maini's first season in Formula 2, ending the season 11th in the overall drivers' standings.

Move to F1

In 2023, Maini was announced to be joining the Alpine Academy, his move to F1.
