Kia recently unveiled the high-performance 2026 EV9 GT SUV at the LA Auto Show. Here are all the key highlights of the fully-electric super SUV.

The EV9 GT is distinguished from the standard models by revisions in bumpers and alloy wheels . However, the overall design remains unchanged.

Biggest highlight is  the powertrain consisting of  160-kW front and 270 kW rear motors producing a combined output of almost 500 horses.

It is estimated to breach 100 kmph from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds.

Inside the cabin, the EV9 GT gets lime green accents and more bolstered sport seats trimmed in Alcantara. New GT-exclusive graphics for the 12.3-inch touchscreen.

The GT branding on the seat headrests lends exclusivity.

EV9 GT also gets Kia’s Virtual Gear Shift (VGS) tech, similar to the one on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. It  mimics the sound and feel of a traditional ICE car with fake engine noises, gear shifts and torque cuts.

Kia retains the signautre pixaletad LED  treatment up front from the standard model.

Rolls on  21-inch wheels with Continental tyres and an electronic rear limited-slip differential. Benefits from upgraded suspension with adaptive dampers

Equipped with Level 2 ADAS safety features like Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, etc.

The EV9 GT can be topped up from 10-80 percent in 25 minutes, although there is no mention of an excat range and battery on offer.
