The Goodwood FOS is a place to see unique vehicles and this time, there was a custom Royal Enfield 850 Adventure showcased.

The motorcycle was built by RE, in partnership with David Gwyther and Death Spray Custom.

The motorcycle draws inspiration from the Dakar motorcycles of the 80s and 90s.

The motorcycle gets 21-inch front wheels, adjustable Ohlins suspension, and a tweaked chassis from Harris Performance.

The engine is a bored out version of the 650cc twin, and the idea was to build a modern rally motorcycle with power figures from that era.

The Royal Enfield 850 Adventure uses a lot of custom parts, including a an old school navigation book, similar to rally raid motorcycles.

The motorcycle's overall design resembles a Dakar racer from that era, similar to the Ducati Desert X.

So will Royal Enfield put the motorcycle to production? As of now, Royal Enfield says that it is a pure custom project.

However, there a number of new 650cc motorcycle Royal Enfield has planned for, including a scrambler based on the Interceptor platform.
