Swift's new version with a brand new engine, subtle styling updates and some additional features launched globally after Japan debut. 

Prices for the new-gen Swift in India start from Rs 6.49 lakh and go up to Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.  

The Indian spec missed out various features compared  to its Japanese counterpart. Lets have a look on some of the equipment it lacks.  

The Indian model misses out the heated front seats due to its warm climate, which is one of the most convenient feature in the Japanese swift

Unlike India's Swift, the global model gets a mild-hybrid system for better fuel economy and extra power.

India's Swift skips 4 colors offered in Japan counterpart including unique shades like Cool Yellow Metallic, Caravan Ivory Metallic, and Super Black Pearl and a monotone option like Cool Yellow with a black roof 

For India's Swift, safety features like adaptive cruise control, driver monitoring system, high beam assist and auto hold brakes are missing compared to the Japan model.

Unlike India's front-wheel drive only Swift, Japan offers AWD for their hybrid models.
