In 'City of Brotherly Love,' Mummers strut towards diversity

For more than 100 years, New Year’s Day in Philadelphia has meant one thing: the flamboyant costumes, boisterous music and exuberant dancing of the Mummers Parade. After repeated controversy over racism and exclusivity, the parade is hoping to get back to its roots by inviting different ethnic groups to join the iconic parade.
