Rapper POORSTACY, whose real name was Carlito Milfort, has died at the age of 26,TMZ reported. His death was confirmed by the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner. The Boca Raton Police Department said he passed away early Saturday after a medical emergency.

Who was rapper POORSTACY?

Palm Beach, Florida-based musician POORSTACY was well-known for fusing punk rock, heavy metal, post-punk, and emo rap into his songs. His 2019 EP “I Don’t Care” was his breakthrough. Over the time, he developed a loyal fanbase, thanks to his 2020 album The Breakfast Club and his 2021 album Party at the Cemetery.

He also worked with big names in the industry, including Iann Dior and Travis Barker. POORSTACY and Travis Barker collaborated on several songs, including their popular track “Choose Life.”

One of his biggest achievements was being part of the Bill & Ted Face the Music movie soundtrack, which received a Grammy nomination. This earned him a place alongside well-known rock and metal artists like Weezer, Lamb of God, and Mastodon.

The rapper recently dropped “Nothing Belongs to You” in July and teamed up with Paris Shadows for the track “Last Time Around” in October.

POORSTACY began his career with Internet Money Records, but the partnership ended in 2021 due to personal and creative differences. He later worked with 10k Projects, the label run by Elliot Grainge.
