An American influencer’s video is back in the spotlight. The video, allegedly shot in Dallas, Texas, shows a stretch of the city packed with Indian eateries, grocery stores, and lounges. The clip was once viral and has now caught attention again for its claim about the Indian presence in the US city.
‘Dallas Texas is the most Indian place in America’
“Dallas Texas is the most Indian place in America,” says influencer Harry in the video. He goes by the name Pigeon Vizion on social media. In the video, he captures several Indian establishments in the area, including India Cash and Carry, Urban Tadka, Pakoda Indian Eatery, and others. The video pans across grocery stores, restaurants, and lounges, all clustered in the same place.
The thumbnail of the video also reads, “Dallas Texas is the most Indian place in America.” The clip has garnered 54.4K likes and 3.5K comments so far.
At one point, Harry turns the camera towards his friend and asks, “What do you think about that?” His friend replies, “We just came from Mexico and I want Indian.”
Netizens react
The resurfaced video received a lot of reactions especially from Desi netizens. One user added context to the discussion, saying, “Every major city has a little Italy too and a China town, a Latin neighborhood, Brazilian spots, maybe a Japan town, the list goes on. Ppl just aren’t used to Indian spots so u get all this ‘fear of takeover’ rhetoric”.
Many also pointed out that Dallas is not the only place with a strong Indian-American presence. Several users cited Toronto and Fremont, California, as similar hubs. “Y’all don’t know real Indiamerica until u step foot in Fremont”, commented one.
Some users defended the growing footprint outright. “They literally are buying whole blocks lol don’t blame them, all they are doing is spending their money,” added another.
“The Indian people are some of the nicest people in and around Dallas. Big W for US,” wrote one user.
Why Indian markets are present significantly in the US
According to a 2025 research based on US Census Bureau data and the American Community Survey by the Pew Research Centre, approximately 5.2 million people of Indian descent reside in America. Indians form the second-largest community of Asians in the United States.
With such a large population, Indian-focused markets have naturally grown across the country. From grocery stores and restaurants to fashion, home décor, and lifestyle products, Indian communities have built spaces that cater to their culture and everyday needs.
