WWE superstar Triple H arrives in India; another tour possible

WWE superstar Paul Levesque who is popularly known as Triple H arrived in Mumbai for his India trip on Tuesday. India has always been fond of WWE stars and Triple H too received a warm welcome at the airport.

WWE superstar Paul Levesque who is popularly known as Triple H arrived in Mumbai for his India trip on Tuesday. India has always been fond of WWE stars and Triple H too received a warm welcome at the airport. The WWE legend shared the pictures and videos of his arrival on his Twitter handle. This trip of Triple H as WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative has opened the possibility of yet another WWE tour of India with the events set to take place in December. Earlier, there were reports that WWE might host two shows – on December 8 and 9 – at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.

WWE has been targetting India for a quite some time now. Triple H thanked fans for the kind of welcome he received. “Been awhile since I’ve been in India…. immediately remembered why I love it. Thanks for the warm reception @WWEIndia,” he wrote before sharing another multimedia tweet with his entry at the hotel. “Landed in Mumbai and was warmly greeted. A beautiful country with wonderful cultures, excited for my visit. @WWEIndia,” Triple H said. Here are Triple H’s posts:

If the WWE India tour does take place, it might feature RAW-brand house shows featuring Smackdown Live’s Jinder Mahal. Other superstars listed for the shows are Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, and Mahal, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Sasha Banks, and Bayley, according to a report by The Indian Express.

Earlier, WWE did an India tour in January 2016 with shows in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Prior to that, WWE had landed in India in 2002 – with the show being branded as “RAW tour of India”.
