India’s former opening batsman Virender Sehwag hailed as one of the most feared openers of all time, known for his unique style of commentary and humorous tweets, has trolled James Anderson this time. He targeted the English-swing bowler after the England number 11 got out on a King’s pair. In the first innings, he was dismissed LBW by Ravichandran Ashwin off the first ball and during the second innings too he was dismissed for a duck off the very first ball, again LBW via DRS, this time by the debutant leg-spinner Jayant Yadav.
England lost the 2nd Test to India by 246 runs. The hosts now take a 1-0 lead over the visiting Alastair Cook’s team, Viru without hesitating took a dig at Anderson’s wicket in Day-5. As Jimmy walked off the field without opening his account in both the innings, he became the first England player to bag a King’s pair in Tests in last 10 decades. Here is the tweet:
“Jimmy Anderson made me pay tribute to Aryabhatta by getting me out for a King pair in 2011. Today, he too got a King pair.#KarmaBites.”
Meanwhile, former Australian wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist also tweeted:
“Welcome to the club Jimmy Anderson. I was first Aussie back in ’01 in Calcutta. #indiadoesthattoyou,”
The English bowler replied through a friendly emoticon.
