Iconic Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has just had a fortunate escape from a huge tragedy. The man who is known to put the best bowlers in the world to the sword, managed to extricate himself from a life threatening situation due to his excellent reflexes. The Indian batsman survived an accident scare after the tyre of his Range Rover burst near Etawah on Tuesday. As per Indian Express report, DSP Rajesh Kumar Singh said that Raina was behind the wheels at the time of the incident. However, he escaped unhurt. The left-handed batsman is leading the India Blue in the Duleep Trophy and was travelling from Ghaziabad to Kanpur for a match in the tournament. The incident occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Following the incident, the locals helped Raina contact the police. The Police officials then arranged another car for the India Blue captain to travel to Kanpur.
Meanwhile, Raina will be looking forward to a great show at the Duleep Trophy which might also help him to make a comeback into the Indian side. Recently in an interview with IE about his approach towards the tournament, he said,”I will approach it as you approach a four-day game. The more you stay at the crease, there are more chances of getting runs. I have been watching my old tapes. There are a few points Sachin has told me, I will try them.”
