As per a Time Now report, Kohli has surpassed other celebrities of the country and splurged his brand value as high as 25 per cent to $92 million. He now stands second to king of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan’s value of $131 million.
After proving his mettle as a batsman and captain in every format of the game, the most stylish cricketer has become an idol and heartthrob for the cricketing fans, not just in India but across the globe. In a report published by Duff & Phelps in 2016 crowned Kohli No 2 in the list of India’s most valued celebrity brand with a valuation of $92 million. The report also said that the value is speculated to splurge in the year to come.

Recently, Kohli has bagged another achievement by hitting double centuries in four consecutive series over the past six months. He has been one of India’s highest test run getters in the year 2016-17. As per the report, Kohli endorses for more than 20 brands and it is further expected to increase if he manages to take over Australia’s Steve Smith and splurge top in ICC test rankings. Current Kohli stands as top batman in the ICC ranking of T20 batsmen. Many brand analysts there could also come a time when Kohli will overtake everyone to be the most expensive brand ambassador of the country.
