In a shocking move for India, Narsingh Yadav tested positive for a banned substance before the commencement of Rio Olympics 2016. This will not just cast a shadow on his participation in the upcoming Olympic games but might also effect his sports career. In order to save his Rio dream from falling apart, Yadav on Monday demanded a CBI probe into the doping scandal, alleging that a conspiracy has been hatched to shatter his profile and his participation in Olympics.
In wake of his struggle to plead innocence, Maharashtra CM Davendra Fadnavis said that something is suspicious in this entire incident and he shall provide his support to Narsingh Yadav in the same. He stated that he is in contact with the Sports Minister and has written a letter in the same reference.
On Monday, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports said that Narsingh Yadav has been suspended provisionally and will be allowed to go if national anti-doping disciplinary panel (NADA) exonerates him.
The NADA panel is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, in order to decide the future of Yadav. “I am hopeful that everything will be clear soon. I have
got the 100 per cent backing of everyone. I am still hopeful of going to Rio,” 26-year-old wrestler said.
