Rio 2016 Olympics: Google is all set to become your guide for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games scheduled to be held from next week. With features like event schedule, medal counts, event highlight and Rio venue on Google map, the tech giant will give you all updates if you have missed the event. Google has made available the ‘automatic updates’ option in Google app on Android and iOS and you can opt for it for uninterrupted updates/notifications.
“Next week, the 2016 cauldron will be lit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,” said Google adding that the users will be able to discover event schedule, information about athletes, their medal counts, country’s medal tally, view TV schedules in over 30 nations, besides exploring Rio venues on Google Maps.
The move is set to ease the woes of people in finding updates about their favourite athletes and countries.
Google has made official broadcasters’ highlight video available on YouTube in over 60 countries. Also, Google’s YouTube will send 15 top creators to Rio. “YouTube is sending 15 top creators to Rio, giving you a taste of what it’s like to be there with mobile live streaming. With Street View in Google Maps, everyone can enjoy the magic of Rio de Janeiro,” said Google.
Earlier, Google has enabled it with Live Cricket Score updates enabling users to check out ongoing cricket matches score on Google’s page itself.
