After the second failed dope test involving Narsingh Yadav ahead of his expected Olympic run, a NADA panel lawyer said that the decision will be out either on Saturday or Monday. NADA lawyer Gaurang Kanth told ANI that the Olympics-qualified player Narsingh Yadav is not eligible for the requested remission.
With a bronze medal finish in last year’s World Championships, Narsingh was tested positive for a banned steroid on both A and B samples. However, the players claimed that his food was spiked and filed an FIR against two fellow wrestlers at the Sonepat Police Station probing a CBI investigation into the matter.
Parveen Rana was named for his replacement in the Rio Olympics this year. Narsingh was selected for the Olympics after a long battle with two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar. After police investigations at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) over the Dope scandal.
