Apart from his wicket-taking abilities and brilliant fielding, Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja is also known for his witty sense of humour. Many times in the past, Ravindra Jadeja has produced hilarious moments on the field often and he did exactly the same on day 1 of the 1st Test against Sri Lanka on Wednesday afternoon. With Cheteshwar Pujara and Shikhar Dhawan putting up a great partnership, the Indian cricket team was in a very comfortable position, having put 247 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of just 1 wicket. The newly appointed coach Ravi Shastri, captain Virat Kohli and bowling coach Bharat Arun were watching the proceedings very carefully.

It was then that Ravindra Jadeja produced a gem of a moment by imitating Sri Lankan spinner Dilruwan Perera’s bowling action in the dressing room, leaving everyone in splits. When Jadeja tried to imitate the action, it didn’t come out as well so he decided to do it all over again. This time Jadeja copied Perera in a rather funny way, making everyone smile in the dressing room. The incident was recorded by someone on camera and posted on YouTube.

As far as the match goes, the Indian cricket team is in a strong position at the end of day 3, having taken a lead of 498 runs with 7 wickets left. Virat Kohli (76 batting) and Abhinav Mukund (81) put on 133 runs for the third wicket as India reached 189 for three in 46.3 overs at stumps on a rain-affected day three. Kohli and Mukund made hay while the sun was out as they barely encountered any trouble from the Sri Lankan bowlers. With two days remaining in the match, India would be planning and hoping for a big win.
