Third-seeded Rafael Nadal battled past his Bulgarian opponent Grigor Dimitrov to advance to the quarterfinals of Swiss Indoors here on Thursday.
The Spaniard returned brilliantly from a set down to claim a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win over Dimitrov in the second round contest that lasted for about two hours and 12 minutes.
Meanwhile, Stan Wawrinka bowed out of the tournament after suffering a shocking 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 4-6 defeat to Ivo Karlovic .
