Yuvraj Singh may not be having the best time of his life when it comes to cricket after missing out on the Sri Lankan tour, but the southpaw continues to make news with his good work in helping people through his YouWeCan Foundation. His work was noticed by none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi who wrote a letter to the all-rounder appreciating his efforts. Yuvraj who was delighted to get this letter from the Prime Minister took to Instagram to share an image of it. He also wrote an emotional caption saying that it was encouraging to get the letter from the Prime Minister himself.

“It’s an absolute honor & privilege for all of us here at Youwecan to receive such an encouraging letter from Hon’ble Shri @narendramodi ji himself. We at @youwecan strongly believe that each one of us together can change the world and it’s not what you’ve got, its what you use that makes a difference. There is no greater reward than making someone else’s life better and making a difference in the world #youwecan #gratitude ????????,” Yuvraj wrote as the caption of his image.

Here is Yuvraj Singh’s Instagram post:

A two-time World champion Yuvraj Singh lost his place in India’s limited overs side after a below par ICC Champions Trophy which was followed by a substandard ODI series against West Indies. After scoring a half-century against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy opener, Yuvi managed to score just 162 runs in his last 7 ODIs. So far, he has scored over 8000 runs in 304 ODIs. Apart from this, Yuvraj has also represented India in 40 Tests and 58 T20 Internationals.

However, Yuvraj is still a part of India’s 2019 World Cup plans. Both captain Virat Kohli and chief selector MSK Prasad have hinted at many changes in the squad leading to the 2019 World Cup.
