Breaking millions of hearts, Ramita Jindal has been eleimiated from the women’s 10m Air rifle final at the Paris Olympics 2024. She started strongly and was in the top four, but gradually lost ground and ended up finishing seventh with a total of 145.3 points. Despite a brave effort, she has been eliminated.
Jindal had advanced to the finals by defeating Elavenil Valarivan in the women’s10m air rifle qualification round at the Paris Olympics on Sunday, held at the National Shooting Center.
Jindal had scored 145.3 points in the competitive finals which had eight shooters. Initially placed seventh after 10 shots with a score of 104.0. A 10.5-point shot briefly moved her to sixth, as Norway’s Hegg Jeanette Duestad was eliminated, but Ramita couldn’t maintain her position.
The Hangzhou Asian Games bronze medalist in this event, Jindal outperformed World Championship medallist Mehuli Ghosh and Tilottama Sen in domestic trials to earn her place at the Paris Games.
