Controversial Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios appears confident about facing World number three Andy Murray in the first round of the US Open, saying he feels like he can beat him.

The 20-year-old said that he is aware about Murray’s strengths, as he has played with him thrice, and added that he needs to play the right style of game to win, Stuff.co.nz reports.

The current bad boy of tennis, however, said that Murray is one of the best players and playing the best tennis of his life at present.

Kyrgios, who was handed a suspended ban and a fine by the ATP Tour for his ‘insulting remark’ against Stan Wawrinka, will lock horns with Murray on September 2 at Flushing Meadows in New York.
